故事大綱

《鹿鼎記》和金庸以前的武俠小說風格略有不同，內容一反武俠小說以武功為主的格局，主角的「武功」低微而精於人事關係（韋小寶並不會武功，勉強來說，他隻曾學習九難傳授的輕功「神行百變」）。小說借主人公的種種冒險經歷反映當時社會的各個階層的生活百態，儼然是一幅“清明上河圖”。

《鹿鼎記》以清朝康熙年間誅殺鰲拜、平定吳三桂為首的三藩之亂、施琅收復台灣等史事為背景，描寫揚州妓女韋春花的兒子韋小寶如何因緣巧合，被俠士茅十八帶到北京，從冒充太監小桂子開始，周旋於康熙朝君臣、明室貴冑沐王府、反清組織天地會、邪教組織神龍教，以及平西王吳三桂、西藏喇嘛、蒙古王公，甚至俄羅斯王族之間，左右逢源如魚得水，最終娶得七位美夫人隱居釣魚島，短暫復出之后心灰意冷，終於詐死歸隱江湖的傳奇故事。
